Ball is LIFE…or death!

Sports Commentator: “Lebron passes it to Kyrie… Kyrie shoots, he scores, to win the game!!!”

The crowd screams out of pure joy that the Cavaliers have won the 2016 NBA Finals. This excitement and sportsmanship is what draws many of us to sports. Now please forgive me if I don’t have all the facts or if I just made up that little piece about Kyrie shooting and winning the game for the Cavs… I like to say I know a lot about sports, but I’d be lying!

I’m one of maybe a handful of chicks that like some sports… don’t ever sit me in front of a baseball game, I’ll probably just go to drink a few beers, get some peanuts, and probably fall asleep! But get me in front of a basketball or football game, I’m there! I believe the most important part about sports is that you can get into this back and forth banter with your significant other a out who’s going to win, and make some bets about “whoever loses has to clean the kitchen” or “whoever loses has to give a foot massage”… you get the gist of what I’m trying to say! Sports can bring a couple together or in some cases tear them a part. I like to look at the glass half full, but folks today I have someone who looks at BALL IS LIFE as the glass half empty.

This week I have decided that other voices need to be heard and when NE (my best friend who shall not be named lol) brought to my attention that this concept of “Ball Is Life” needed to be talked about, I was more than down for the challenge and was very interested in her perspective. FYI… she hates sports, especially football season!

The reality is I don’t hate the game, I hate what comes along with it: lack of attention and most important lack of sex!

If you are like me and my man, you most likely spend majority of your time at your respective places of employment. Because, we have such opposite schedules, I cherish our weekends/days off with one another. I mean summer is all peaches and roses and beaches and sunsets!! Then BOOM, summer ends (sad face) and football starts and now you go from beaches and sunsets to fantasy leagues and TWELVE hours of football! But honestly, Sunday’s used to be OUR days and now I given up the only day we usually both have off to his other girlfriend…. PIG SKIN . I mean he eats, sleeps, and breaths football on Sunday! This is how Sunday’s go during football season, he wakes up, rolls over to kiss me and then almost immediately goes to pick the “line up” for multiple fantasy leagues and then he is off to watch the games at the bar at Noon and doesn’t come home sometimes till damn near Midnight… There is no time for ME! Now, I’ll admit, I’m selfish and bratty when it comes to him! But hey, life is too short not spend it with the people you love.

Speaking of love, I can’t be the only one who LOVES sex! I wouldn’t say I am a Nympho but I might be a Nympho. I mean I like sex multiple times a day. It’s not just the action and the multiple orgasms, it’s the intimacy! The kisses, the caresses, the staring in the eyes and what turns me on the most… his moans! I mean I crave every part of it and my man! BUT God Forbid, a Bear’s game is on, no matter how I am (or am not) dressed… I get no attention or play! And this is why BALL IS DEATH! Death of MY Sex life on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays! Now I know some of you may be thinking, this girl is crazy but we all have needs… It just so happens that I may be a bit needier than others.

Ladies, we all have our best friends we tell literally EVERYTHING to, Brittani is that for me. She has heard me complain so many times about football. So, last week during one of my many “football is happening” rants, she goes “would you ever do fantasy football?” My reaction was BIHHHH WHATT?? Did you not just hear my complaints and now you want to wrap me into this BALL IS LIFE shit! HELLL NO! AND then my boyfriend walks in the house and she pitches the idea to him!!! So needless to say, they are now in cahoots with one another and I am being forced to join a fantasy football league next year. I mean, the old saying goes… if you can’t beat them, join them! But you better believe… Imma find a way to get some half-time quickies 😉

I would like to say that my friend went on a whole rant, but to be honest… it’s how most ladies feel when it comes to basketball season, football season, shit any season! So fellas take it easy on us, we just want to show you some love and affection, we get BALL IS LIFE, but don’t let it get to the point where BALL IS DEATH!!! Lol
