You know how the story goes…
Boy meet girls, and they fall forever in love right…WRONG!!! In between this so called “love story” you’ve got so much chaos, drama, and dysfunction, that it seems like you could never accomplish this happy ending that you see in the books and movies, or that one friend that found her soulmate in high school, goes on to get married, and has three and a half children. But ladies are we the reason for this dysfunction? Did we cause this man to put us on the block list? Is it really and truly our fault that we haven’t created the ending to our love story? I’m here to tell you… HELL NO!!! I truly believe that there is someone out there for every quirk and awkward bone we have in our body, and there is someone out there that matches our crazy!!! Okay, I know “crazy” isn’t a politically correct adjective in describing oneself, but for this blog it’s going to serve a key purpose given the title of this blog!
So I have a huge confession to make! And I want you all to remember that Confidently Awkward is a nonjudgmental zone and is accepting of all, but I digress! So my confession is that one point in time I was and could possibly be a STALKER. Let me give you the definition of a stalker…

So if you ask me, this definition is quite harsh! I feel like it’s very narrow minded in the sense of what is considered stalking in today’s day and age with social media being a part of our every day lives. But we’ll just roll with this for now.
I know you have all seen the memes where girls are considered detectives and investigators in the sense of, we can find out any information off of just a guys first name! Every female has started talking to a guy, got his number, put it in their phone and somehow synced his contact to all of the social media platforms on her phone. We live in a time where no one has conversations anymore and everything is a text here and there or we are just too scared to start up a conversation and ask questions… we, as women… immediately go to digging.
I’ll paint a picture for you… there was this person I just randomly met, exchanged numbers and that was that. I was like a little girl and couldn’t wait for all of the possibilities… like texting until 2 in the morning, possibly going out for dinner, or face timing. But then my mind began to wander and wanted to do some research. So of course I called my bestie and was like “girl, I just met this fine ass guy, we exchanged numbers, we gotta find him on social media!” And of course my friend obliged and we got to searching… and searching… and searching!!! All the boxes were being checked off that imaginary list in my head until our investigating went so deep and found out he had a WHOLE GIRLFRIEND!!! The LIES, THE DECEIT! I was really telling my bestie that he was husband material! I literally planned out our wedding and our three and a half kids, all in my head! And in a mater of 3 clicks later, my dreams were shattered.
Damn I hate/love that I tell you all this, but these stories need to be told! Lol! So honestly is being a STALKER really that damn bad?! I probably would have never known he had a WHOLE GIRLFRIEND, until I would have miraculously became the “sidechick”, but this fool was over here trying to have his cake and eat it too! No ma’am… not I! I will not sit around and be made a fool of! And to be honest I’m sure guys do a little digging too or I could be completely wrong. But what makes this socially acceptable, is that guys know we do this and 9 times out of 10 if they know they aren’t doing anything, they just say we’re crazy and move on with their lives, hopefully that’s the case!
So boy meets girl, things get a little crazy, she does a little STALKING, they break up, they break up again, more STALKING, and they live HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!! Lol
From one STALKER to another… STALK on my friend, STALK on until you get that peace of mind, but don’t let it drive you crazy or maybe find your person that matches your crazy! Lol
